ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISKS
All persons using the sauna do so at their own risk. If you have any reservations regarding sauna use, such as medical conditions, underlying health problems, the use of prescription drugs, or pregnancy, it is essential that you consult your GP before making a booking.
SAFETY GUIDELINES
- Alcohol and drugs are not permitted in the sauna.
- Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to use the sauna.
- Any metal jewelry should be removed before entering the sauna to prevent burning.
- Any glasses or contact lenses should be removed before entering the sauna
- We strongly recommend you do not use glass or metal drinking vessels in the sauna.
HEALTH CONDITIONS
You must not use the sauna if you:
- suffer from high or low blood pressure or any heart or circulatory disorder;
- are pregnant; or
- are prone to dizziness or fainting.
If you or anyone in your group is epileptic please inform us as the essential oils can cause epilepsy episodes.
COLD PLUNGE
All persons using the sea as a 'cold plunge' do so at their own risk. It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures and varying conditions of the sea.
The sea is a natural body of water and the ramp may be slippery and have sharp shells. Please step down and enter the water via the beach at low tide as we are unable to keep the ramp free of algae especially under water.
If you are new sauna and or cold plunge, we encourage you to go slow with the cold water immersion as it can cause dizziness.
SAUNA ETIQUETTE
Sauna etiquette must be adhered to at all times. This includes:
- Sitting on a towel at all times
- Swimwear must be worn - no nudity permitted in the sauna.
- Staying in the sauna for no longer than 20 minutes at a time (we recommend 5-15 minute sessions)
- Gently pouring water onto the sauna stove; drizzle, don't dump water
- Getting changed within your booked time slot if you'd like to use the changing room
GROUP BOOKINGS
If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make your group aware of the terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use. We ask that you forward the booking confirmation emails to all members of the group.
RIGHT TO REFUSE
GOODHEAT SAUNA operators reserve the right to refuse entry, cut short, or cancel sessions for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk, if there are concerns about risky behavior, or if any of the above rules are not followed. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.
BOOKING PAYMENT, RESCHEDULING, AND CANCELLATION
Full payment via card is required to confirm your booking.
Changes More Than 24 Hours in Advance: If you need to reschedule or cancel your session, please use the links at the bottom of your appointment confirmation email. For cancellations made more than 24 hours before your session starts, we will refund the full cost minus the standard card processing fees.
Changes Less Than 24 Hours in Advance: We are unable to provide refunds for cancellations or reschedules made with less than 24 hours' notice. If you cannot make your session at short notice, please email us at joe@goodheatsauna.com to let us know so we can open up the slot for others.
WAIVER
I fully acknowledge the terms and conditions set out above, and will act accordingly to keep myself and others safe at all times whilst using the sauna. I will make all members of my group aware of the terms and conditions. I acknowledge participation in the Sauna is voluntary, comes with inherent risks, and that I can refuse to participate or quit participating in the Sauna at any time for any reason.
