Let your mind drift as the waves roll into this unspoiled bay. Only 25 minutes from Nelson, the dark skies and quiet make it feel hours away. Benches are limited to 5 for communal sessions and up to 6 for private groups.
Check-in
Our hosts will welcome you on-site, point out the fresh water, and show you the best path to the sea. Premium sauna hats and waffle changing ponchos are also available to purchase before your session.
Changing
We have a small changing stall and outdoor benches to store your belongings. Your changing time is included in the session, so we highly recommend arriving swim-ready.
Sauna
I designed and built the sauna using expanded cork panels, chosen for their rich chocolate tone, incredible insulation, and acoustic properties. The minimalist bench layout elevates your feet to the top of the custom New Zealand-made stove, which is loaded with local Cable Bay stones.
Cooling down
Crystal-clear water is just steps from the sauna down a sandy path. Afterward, rinse off under a brisk spring-water shower before heading back inside for another round of heat.
